Tips for Faster Healing
- Follow post-op instructions closely: This includes wound care, sleeping position, and dietary restrictions.
- Sleep with head elevated: Helps reduce swelling in the first 1–2 weeks.
- Avoid smoking, alcohol, and strenuous activity: These delay healing and increase risk of complications.
- Apply prescribed ointments or scar care products as directed.
- Attend all follow-up appointments: Especially important for international patients to track healing before flying home.
Combining Facelift with Other Procedures? Expect Slightly More Downtime
If your facelift is combined with:
- Neck lift: expect similar healing time
- Fat grafting: more facial swelling for 1–2 extra weeks
- Eyelid or brow lift: minor additional bruising around the eyes
